mātakina’s patent pending, platform technology is able to convert any digital breast mammogram into quantitative numbers in which the actual breast tissue properties are characterized and differentiated, completely removing the imaging conditions, such as exposure time.
VolparaTM collates the information within that quantitative representation to return the volume of fibroglandular tissue, the volume of the breast and the ratio of those volumes, the volumetric breast density. By doing so, VolparaTM acts as an easy to use aid for the decision process, which:
- Reduces reader subjectivity
- Simplifies decision making for the radiologist
- May reduce interpretation time
- Adds consistency to mammography reports
